Do we need to tidy up or pack away before the preservation visit?
We capture the heart of the home exactly as it lives in your memories, meaning every meaningful detail will be preserved. While we strongly advise against artificial staging or clearing out personal items—the entire purpose is to protect the authentic soul of the family home—general tidying is recommended. The goal is to bottle the home exactly as it was lived in, maintaining its warmth while ensuring your family legacy shines clearly.
When is the right time to schedule the home preservation?
The capturing process must happen before any packing boxes arrive or furniture dismantling begins. Once packing starts, the authentic spirit of the home changes permanently. We recommend securing your preservation date 2 to 4 weeks prior to the moving day.
Who has access to our family's digital home?
Only you and the family members you explicitly choose. You maintain absolute guardianship over who is granted entry to your family's legacy page. Your home preservation is a private, highly secure family heirloom; it is never made public or shared with anyone outside your inner circle.
What happens after the home is preserved?
The journey unfolds in thoughtful stages. First, the documentation is woven into an interactive, private Living Home. You will receive a secure key to enter this sanctuary, alongside a private family library where you can upload your stories, letters, and home videos at your own pace. Once you tell us your collection is ready, we beautifully embed those stories and media directly into the rooms where they happened. Moving forward, your Family Hub will grow with you, allowing you to see when family members visit to reminisce, with future updates enabling family communication right inside your shared heritage.
How long does the process take, and should the family be present?
A standard home preservation session takes approximately 3 hours and is completely non-invasive. We combine advanced imaging technology with professional museum-exhibition expertise to gently document the natural paths and favorite corners of your home. We warmly invite parents and family members to be present in the home during this time. This is a beautiful, planned part of the experience and serves as a profound way to archive the family's physical presence inside your Living Family Hub. While it is not mandatory, please note that capturing family members standing in their favorite rooms is only possible on this exact day; we cannot retroactively weave people into the home's foundation later. However, you can always enrich the home with videos, voice notes, and old photos of family members at any point in the future.
